Hello! My name is Stacey. I was born and raised in Wisconsin, USA, though I’ve lived the past 8 years in Denver, Colorado. By day I am a music teacher of 11 years and by night I play the exhilarating sport of roller derby.

I have always enjoyed traveling- with family and friends. I have been around the states a bunch. Internationally I have traveled to Honduras, Mexico, Norway, Ecuador, and Canada. But I desire to go more places and see more of the world. Every time I go somewhere I feel that the world shrinks a little bit and my world changes-changes me, for the better, and then in turn will change others around me, right?

My only regret from my college years was not studying abroad. I even had a 6-week study trip planned to go to Egypt, and had grants to cover all of my expenses, though I bailed last minute because of my boyfriend’s concerns at the time. Well here I am 13 years later, in Cairo, Egypt! It’s just coincidence that the location is the same (or is it- maybe there is some universal energy pulling me here?!) but the intention and desire to live, travel, and teach overseas is real. Some call it wanderlust. Some call it crazy! For me it’s real life. So these are my stories- Stacey Stories!
